the earth, and the top of it
    reached to heaven: and
    behold the angels of GOD

    SPECIAL DIVINE TASK
    OF JACOB
    Jacob’s Dream at Bethel, as
    he was travelling from
    Beersheba, where Isaac was
    then staying to Haran, Jacob
came to a place where He
was obliged to stop all night,
    because the sun had set,
    indicate the apparently
    accidental. Yet really
    divinely appointed choice of
    this place, aeer making a
    pillow with a stones head
    place, pillow, he fell asleep
and had a dream, in which
    he saw a ladder resAng
upon the earth, with the top
reaching to heaven ; of and
    upon it angels Of GOD
    going up and down, the
    ladder was a visible symbol
    of the real and
    uninterrupted fellowship
    between GOD in Heaven
    and His people upon the
earth , this is a medium of
    communicaAon between
    heaven and earth, and in
    parAcular between GOD in
His glory and man in his
    loneliness and sin, by which
    messengers pass to and fro
    on errands of mercy, for
    Heaven and earth have
    been separated by sin, but
    this ladder has re
    established the contact and
    behold the angels of GOD
    ascending and descending
    on it, which shows that
    CHRIST regards either the
ladder in Jacob’s vision as an
    emblem of Himself, Divine
    MinistraAon to Son of men
has been going on before it
    was finally revealed to their
    spiritual faculAes , the
    angels are acAve spirits
    conAnually ascending and
    descending they ascend to
    give account of what they
    have done, and to receive
    orders and descend with the
    tasks completed, ascending
    with fresh assignment from
    above , which represents
    CHRIST by whom heaven
and earth are united, who is
    the way to heaven, which
    this ladder was, the
    Mediator between GOD
    and man, Who has
    reconciled things in heaven
    and things on earth, being
    the way to heaven and
    eternal life JOHN1:51
    JESUS CHRIST is our
    advocate between heaven
    and earth, between GOD
    and Man, the propiAaAon
    atoning, sacrifice, covering
    for our sins
    AND THE LORD STOOD
    The LORD stood above it
    and Jacob, the object of
Mercy and said, I am the
    LORD GOD of Abraham they
    Father, and the GOD of
    Isaac: their covenant GOD
    and FATHER IN CHRIST, who
    had made promise unto
    them, and bestowed
    blessing upon them; and the
    same was and would
conAnue to be the GOD of
    Jacob, over His chosen
    people Who had solemnly
    entered into covenant with
    his ancestors, and who had
now come, in virtue of that
    covenant, to renew to him
    the promises He had
    previously given them the
    land whereon thou liest, to
thee will I give it, and to thy
    seed, and the blessing of
the blessing in that seed for
whole race of man, the west
    ward, eastward, northward
    and southward , this
    expression point to the
    world-wide universality of
the Kingdom of the Seed of
    Abraham GOD was assuring
    Jacob that the same GOD
    who spoke to Abraham and
    Isaac, was now going to
    speak to him, aeer his
    miserable failure, the LORD
was the only hope for Jacob
    of salvaAon, GOD of
    redempAon speak to Jacob,
    GOD gave the promise of
    Abraham to Jacob the
    Abrahamic Covenant
    The real blessing of the
promises was to be given to
    Jacob and his descendant
    were the very promise of
    the Abrahamic covenant,
    the promise Land of Canaan
a symbol of heaven and the
    promise seed; this meant
    numerous descendants, so
    many that they would
number as the dust of the
    earth and spread in every
    direcAon, the promises seed
    a very special seed; this
    meant the Messiah, the
Savior of the world in whom
all the families of the Earth
    will be blessed
    BEHOLD I AM WITH THEE
Behold I Am with thee, the
    personal promise of Jacob
    consist of His Divine
    presence, (with thee)
    Divine restoraAon(bring
    again) Divine preservaAon
    ((keep thee) and Divine
    fulfilment of promise( unAl I
    have done)
    The promise of His presence
    and protecAon, GOD gave
    Jacob the greatest
    protecAon imaginable ,
    GOD’S presence I am with
    thee, GOD’S protecAve , I
    will keep thee, protect,
    watch over you wherever
    you go, GOD assurance that
    he would fulfilled His

    GENESIS 41:38-39
    GENESIS 41:38-39
    THE MANIFESTATION OF
    THE SPIRIT OF GOD ON
    JOSEPH
    38)And Pharaoh said unto
    his servants, Can we find
such a one as this is, a man
in whom the spirit of GOD
    is?
    39)And Pharoah said unto
    Joseph, forasmuch as GOD
    hath showed thee all this,
    there is none so discreet
    and wise as thou art
    GENESIS 41:38-39
    AND PHARAOH SAID CAN
WE FIND SUCH A MAN AS
    THIS
    At seventeen years of age
    Joseph was sold for a slave;
    at thirty he was prime
    minister of Egypt, Joseph
    had not only interpreted
    Pharaoh’s dream, but had
    suggested a policy in
    preparaAon for the coming
    famine, he had
    recommended the
    appointment of a wise and
    discreet man, with supreme
    authority over the land,
    Pharaoh first consulted his
    servants, and with their
    consent, the sudden
    installing of unknown
    prisoner in the high office
    has oeen been thought hard
    to believe, but the ground
    on which Pharaoh put it
goes far to explain it, he and
    his servants had come to
    believe that GOD spoke
    through this man, that the
Spirit of GOD was in Him,
    the Spirit of supernatural
insights , here was a divinely
    sent messenger and that
    Joseph is from the true
    GOD
    AS FAR AS GOD HATH
    SHOWED ALL THIS
    Aeer Pharaoh agreed had
    agree to his being the man;
    forasmuch as GOD hath,
    showed thee all this; the
    interpretaAon of his dreams,
    what would be hereaeer for
    fourteen years to come,
    what was advisable to be
done for the good of the
    naAon, and had proposed a
    plan so well, the very
    thought that the naAon
    could suffer economic
    collapse due to famine was
    frightening, but the dreams
    had happened, and Joseph’
    interpretaAon fifed and
    matched the dream
    perfectly, GOD used Joseph
    to cause men to
    acknowledge His Spirit that
He work in His servant and
in the world, GOD was with
    Joseph He revealed all
    things to Joseph, as the
    Spirit of GOD dwells in
    Joseph , Pharaoh told
    Joseph what he thought
    about him, that was
    discerning and wise, but
    not within himself , but
    because of GOD.
    There is none so discreet
and wise as thou art, and
    consequently none so fit for
    this business, since he was
    so divinely qualified as the
    answer seemed to be give
    by GOD not from man
    Joseph was exalted over all
the people of Egypt, he was
put in charge of all the
    place, everyone except
    Pharaoh was subject to him,
    the second in command the
    prime minister over all over
    Egypt

    OF JOSEPH
    19)And Joseph said unto
them, fear not; for am I in
    the place of GOD
    20)But as for, ye thought
    evil against me; but GOD
meant it unto good, to bring
to pass, as it is this day, to
    save much people alive
    21)Now therefore fear ye
not; I will nourish you, and
    your lifle ones, and he
    comforted them, and spake
    kindly unto them
    22)And Joseph dwelt in
    Egypt, he, and his father’s
    house; and spake kindly
    unto them
    23)And Joseph saw
    Ephraim’s children of the
    third generaAon; the
    children also of Machir the
    son of Manasseh, were
    brought up upon Joseph’s
    knees
    24)And Joseph said unto his
brethren, I die; and GOD will
    surely visit you, and bring
you out of this land unto the
    land which he sware to
    Abraham, to Isaac and Jacob
    25)And Joseph took an oath
    of the children of Israel,
    saying, GOD will surely visit
you, and you shall carry up
    my bones from hence
    26)So Joseph died, being a
    hundred and ten years old;
    and they embalmed him,
and he was put in a coffin in
    Egypt

    SPECIFIC DIVINE TASK
    ON JOSEPH
    His brethren plead Joseph
    for forgiveness, they sent
    unto Joseph, he no doubt
    summons them before him,
    when they fall down before
    him entreaAng his
    forgiveness, Joseph removes
    their fear
    Joseph declared that GOD
    had overruled their evil,
that I will take the law into
    his hands and take revenge,
    that GOD has already
    judged them and worked it
    out for good, turned their
    sinful deed they thought to
    have contradicted his
    dreams, and made them of
    none effect, to almost have
taken away his life, or slave
all his days, but GOD meant
it unto good, into a blessing,
    GOD was able to exult
Joseph to be ruler the ruler
of Egypt so that he can save
the world of his days from
    ufer catastrophe especially
    His people Israel and
    believers of the earth; to
    save them from economic
    collapse and starvaAon due
to the seven years of famine
    that had struct the known
    world at that Ame, he
    assured them of his
    brotherly kindness towards
    them, that he will provide
    for them and their families
    And Joseph dwell in Egypt
    and his father’s house
    comfortable , quite, and in
    great prosperity, he stayed
faithful to GOD; he lived to
be 110 years old, he not

together, he live to see his
    great-grandchildren to the

the growth of Israel he hung
    on to the greatest promise
of GOD, never lenng go to
    the end.
    Joseph declared that GOD
was going to visit Israel, that
no mafer what the trial be
    Israel is going to survive
    I DIE
    Someame before his death
    he called them together,
    and observed to them, that
he is expected to die in a
    lifle Ame, and GOD will
surly visit you, and bring you
out of this land of Egypt, in
which they dwelt , unto the
    land which he sware to
    Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
    meaning the land of
    Canaan, which he will give
    to them
    He was thinking of the
    prophecy that GOD had
    given to Abraham years
    earlier predicAon that Israel
    will suffer afflicAon at the
    hands of some naAon for
    four hundred years , Joseph
    certainly knew about the
    predicAon GENESIS 15:7-15.
    JOSEPH TOOK AN OATH
And took an oath of the
children of Israel, not of his
    brethren only, but of their
future , as many of them as
were now grown up, that so
    it might be communicated
    from one to another, and
    become well known to
    generaAon which should
    depart out of Egypt, saying,
    GOD will surely visit you,
and you shall carry up my
    bones from hence; when
    they should go to Canaan
    the promised land, he was
    embalmed and placed in a
    coffin not placed in some
    tomb or pyramid reserved
    for the great official of
    Egypt, being the second to
    Pharaoh, but He desire to
    follow GOD to the end,
    throughout his life, he had
    given a strong witness to
    GOD, he wanted his bones
to declare his faith in the
    great promise of GOD, His
body was not buried, it was
    simply embalmed and kept
above ground in a coffin ,
    which was kept by various
    families of believers, for
    over four hundred years
    Israel did inherit the
    promised land and did carry
    the bone of Joseph back
    with them, burying them in

    word and son of GOD
    CHRIST, who then and ever
    was GOD, the angel the
LORD appeared in a flame of
fire out of the midst of the
bush, to his great surprise ,
    Moses turned aside to look
    at the great sight, the
    miraculous vision of the
    bush that was burning and
    yet not consumed, GOD was
    meeAng Moses, He manifest
    and revealed Himself,
    meeAng Moses in a very
    special way, Moses needed
    a deep, intense,
    unforgefable experience
    with GOD before he will
    undertake the mission,
    before he could minister
and serve in the power of
    GOD, every believer should
    seek deeper experience
    with GOD, to know GOD
    more and more, to draw
closer to him , GOD called
    him Moses stopped, turned
aside, and went over to see
    the unusual sight, just why
the blazing fire did not burn
    out nor consume the bush,
    the LORD was appearing to
    Moses he stopped and
    sought the meaning of the
    LORD’S appearance.
There was the call of GOD ,
which is to seek man when
    Moses stopped and sought
to seek the meaning of the
    burning bush, then and only
then did GOD call out to

    saw the afflicAon and
misery of His people that He
had, which is the first Ame
    GOD called Israel His people
GOD had their cries of His
    people, the slave masters no

    people moaned and
    groaned under their
    oppressive afflicAon, they
had no hope but GOD and
    they could do nothing but
cry out to GOD, GOD heard
    their cries and was now
    acAng to meet their need
Moses was to go as GOD’S
    messenger to deliver GOD’S
    people from their
    enslavement , this is the
    great call of Moses, the
    great commission that God
gave to Moses, he was being

    commissioned by GOD
    Himself, GOD and GOD
    alone has the authority to

    needed water , GOD told
    Moses to walk over to
    parAcular rock and call for
water to gush out, the result
is the miracle of GOD, which
    was supposed to be eye
    witness account of the
event to know that it was
    GOD meeAng their needs
    that GOD himself provided
    for them, but Moses had
    disobeyed GOD, He did the
    exact opposite of what GOD
    had instructed Moses failed
to honor GOD he spoke to
    the people in anger instead
    of addressing the rock as
    commanded by GOD he lash
    at the people calling them
    rebels Moses had not giving
    GOD full credit and the
    glory for providing the water
, he took some of the credit
himself , in anger he shout
out at the people must we
    bring you water by saying
    we Moses was assuming
    some credit to himself this
    was serious offence to GOD,
for GOD will not share His
    glory with any man, Moses
    struck the rock with his
    staff instead of speaking to
    it as GOD Had commanded,
    with anger he struck the
    rock Moses failed to
    acknowledge GOD as his
    sole provider for His people,
    he was acAng ungodly,
    unrighteous and completely
    out of control before the
    people he has commifed
    terrible sin disobedience .
    This was the reason Moses
    was disallowed or barred
    from entering the promise
    land, Moses accepted the
    judgment of GOD and
accept the fact, he began to
    pray for the sovereign LORD
    to appoint a successor, If
    Moses was leaving the
    scene, another leader had
    to be appointed, the people
    will desperately need a
    leader, without a leader
    they will be wondering
    about, lost and scafered
GOD must give a leader to
    conAnue leading His people
    to the promise land

    they lived among the
    worldly naAons they refused
to drive out the enemies of
    the promise land, instead
    they followed their lifestyle
    and always of their
    neighbors they refused to
live a life of separaAon from
the wordly a life devoted to
    GOD and His righteousness
    they lived among the six
    naAons scafered all over
    Israelites tribes that all the

    husbands, the women and
    men of Canaanites, which

    their gods ,they engaged in
    false worship and Idolatry
    Why had GOD been so
    forceful in forbidding

    through intermarriage with
    Canaanites they will lose
    their idenAty, they will no

    Evil was destroying them,
    the evil they themselves

    The torture pain anguish

    14)And therefore I have
sworn unto the house of Eli,
    that the iniquity of Eli’s
    house shall not be purged
    with sacrifice nor offering
    for ever
    15)And Samuel lay unal the
    morning, and opened the
doors of the house of the
    LORD, and Samuel feared to
    show Eli the vision
    16)Then Eli called Samuel,
    and said Samuel, my son,
and he answered, here I am
17)And he said, what is the
    thing that the LORD hath
said unto thee? I pray thee
hide it not from me: GOD do
so to thee, and more also, if
thou hide any thing from me
of all the things that he said
    unto thee
    18)And Samuel told him
every whit , and hid nothing
from him and he said, it is
the LORD; let him do what
    seemeth him good
    1 SAMUEL 3:10-18
    THE CALL AND SPECIFIC
    TASK OF SAMUEL
    And GOD and stood where
Samuel lay before his eye in
    the vision or prophecy ,
    some visible physical shape
    or a bright splendor an
    illustraAon appearance of
the glory of GOD and called
    as at other Ames, Samuel,
    Samuel repeaAng his name ,
in order to be more to
    moAvate ,it is something
    more than a voice; there
    was an objecAve presence,
    aeer GOD issue the third
call , it dawned on Eli that
GOD was issuing a call to
    Samuel, perceiving that it
was the voice of GOD that
    Samuel heard, instructed
him what to say, though it
was a disgrace to Eli, for
GOD’S call to be directed to
    Samuel,

    consequently , Eli
    instructed Samuel on how
    to response to GOD’S call,
    then Samuel answered,
    speak for thy servant is
    listening
    The message of GOD’S call
    that Samuel was to deliver
    was disturbing message for
the young man to receive,, it
    was a message of
    condemnaAon and
    judgment against the family
of Eli, GOD was about ready
    to execute a terrifying
    shocking judgment in Israel,
    GOD declared that He was
    ready to judge Israel sharply,
that every ear that heard of
    the calamity would Angle,
    arousing terrifying fear and
    distress , be struck with
    terror this was verified in
    Eli and his daughter in-law
    parAcularly who, at the
    news fell into labor and
    died, the calamity which is
    referred to what will
    happen: Israel will be
    defeated in war by the
    PhilisAnes losing 30, 000
    foot soldiers, Eli’s two sons
    Hophni and Phinehas would
    be killed and Eli himself
    would die when receiving a
    report from baflefield and
    when Eli heard of the
capture of the Ark he will
    fell down and broke his
neck, the death of the three
    priest would mean the
    complete change of the
    priesthood, the ark itself
    would be captured by the
    PhilisAnes, above all else,
    this would shock and strike
terror in the heart of the
Israelites , for the Ark of
GOD was the very symbol of
    GOD’S presence among
    them, to many of the
people, the loss of the Ark
    meant the loss of GOD’S
    presence, GOD would no
    longer be present with them
    to guide, protect, and
    provide for them .
    GOD knew exactly what
was going to happen in the
    coming judgment upon
    Israel, Samuel and the
    people had no idea, but
    GOD did; therefore, he was
    able to pronounce that the
    judgment would be
    terrifying and shocking, a
    judgment that will shake the
    very culture of Israel, not
    only would there be a
massive loss of life, but the
    very religion and priesthood
    of the naAon would be
    shaken to the foundaAon
    THE INIQUITY WHICH HE
    KNOW BECAUSE HIS SON
    MADE THEMSELVES VILE
For I have told him that I
will judge his house for ever,
    that is, bring his judgments
    upon them, which should
    conAnue on them to their
    ufer destrucAon; Eli’s family
    was to be judged because
    Eli had condoned the
    terrible, gross sins of his
    sons, being the father of
    chief priest, Eli should have
    restrained his son and
    enforced a strict discipline
    upon them, Instead, he
    allowed them to become
    vile, Contemptable, and
    blasphemous, abhorred
and accursed in the sight of
GOD by taken the flesh of
    the people, which did not
    belong to them and by
    corrupAng the women that
came to the door of the
    Tabernacle for religions
    service they became sAff-
    neck, stubborn, they went
    too far, beyond repentance,
    beyond ever returning to
    GOD, consequently GOD
    pronounced a tragic,
    terrifying judgment; that
    their sin and guilt could
    never be atoned for by
    sacrifice of offering, only
    GOD can tell when a
    persons heart reaches this
    point, the point of never
    repenAng and returning to
Him, these two sons of Eli
    reached point they rejected
    the appeal of GOD’S grace
    and mercy, and now being
    desAny for judgment of
    GOD
    The message of GOD’S
    judgment was now
    completed, and Samuel lay
unAl morning, it is not to
say he slept; it can hardly
    when he consider the
    strange new thing that
    befalling him; what honor
    had been conferred on him
    a child, that the LORD
    should bestow to speak and
    communicate His mind to
    him, and what dreadful
    things were said to Eli’s
    family, GOD had finished
    speaking to Samuel,
    And Samuel feared to show
Eli the vision; the vison of
    prophecy , what GOD had
    foretold should befall him
    and his family, Samuel did
    everything he could to avoid

Facing Eli, he did not come
to him as usual , to know
    whether he wanted
    anything, and being
    impaAent to hear what was
said by GOD, for he knew Eli
will ask of the Message of
    the LORD insisAng that
    Samuel share the message,
he should not hid it from
    him, obediently, Samuel
    shared the message of the
    judgment with Eli, he hid
    nothing, kept nothing from
    Eli, on hearing the judgment
upon him and his family; Eli
    demonstrated a submissive
    understanding spirit,, he
knew that he had failed to
    rear his sons in the
    discipline of the LORD, and
    himself had lived a carnal
    life, he was helpless to
    correct his failure, Eli
    response that let GOD do
    what seems Him good to
    the LORD, who knowns
what is best for His people
    and can do nothing but
    what is good

    SAMUEL GREW AND THE
    LORD WAS WITH SAMUEL
    And Samuel grew, as in
    stature, so in wisdom and
the LORD was with him, this
    was the source of his
    strength, by GOD’S special
    gie, but especially by
    establishing his words,
    spoken by Divine
    inspiraAon, there were
    manifest indication of

    they were judges in Beer

    3)And his sons walked not

    5) And said unto him,

    1 SAMUEL 8:1-7
    THE DIVINE CALL ON SAUL
    When Samuel was old, and
    so unfit for his former
    travels and labors, he had
    spent his strength and spirit
    in the faAgue of public
    office, Samuel had grown
    old and his age was
    beginning to affect his
    ability to lead the nation
    new leadership was
    demanded he made his
    sons Judges under him not
    being able through old age
    to go the journeys he used;
    he sent them, Joel and
    Abijah and appointed them
to hear and try cases in his
    stead at Beersheba , but
    they lived hypocriAcal lives,
they did not follow the steps
    of their father, they turned
    away from GOD and
    become greedy of money,
    they accepted bribes and
    perverted jusAce, in such
    controversial cases, they
    accepted bribes and ruled
in favor of the oppressors or
    guilty parAes , the
    wickedness reminded the
people of Eli’s two sons and
    they feared of returning to
    the lawless and corrupt
    days ,accordingly a desire
    arose within the people for
    new leadership, then all the
    elders of Israel gathered
    themselves together, at
    some place, these were the
    heads of the tribes and
    fathers of houses and
    families of Israel, the
    principal persons of age and
    authority and came to
    Samuel unto Ramah; the
    place of his naAvity and
    abode, where he dwelled
    and judged Israel, they went
    in a very respecful
    conference with Samuel,
    they laid out their three
    reasons for desiring a King ;
    Samuel was old and his
sons did not walk in his
    godly ways there they
desire to have a king just
    like the surrounding
    naAons , they did not
    demand a king aeer GOD’S
    own heart, they should have
    desire a king aeer GOD’S
    own heart, a man totally
    and wholeheartedly
    commifed to GOD this
    should have being their
    focus; but instead , they
    emphasized just a king like
    other naAons, their eyes
    and hearts were set upon
    the world and its ways
    instead of upon GOD and
    His righteousness, they
    were interested in the world
    of ceremony posiAon,
    security, GOD was not their
    focus
    THE THING DISPLEASED
    SAMUEL
    The thing displeased
    Samuel implies that Samuel
    was displeased, which arose
    from a feeling of ingraAtude
    of the Israelites toward
    himself in desiring that one
who had done so much for
    them should be superseded
by a king , the demand for a
    king is most tragic, by
    demanding for a king, they
    were forsaking GOD and
    rejecAng His kingship, His
    authority and rule over their
    lives, GOD instructed
    Samuel to grant the elder’s
their request for a king, to
    relieve Samuel of his
    restlessness, GOD assured
    him that they were not
    rejecAng Samuel, but GOD
    himself, just as the Israelites
    had done since their
    deliverance from Egypt they
    rejecAng the savior deliverer
    , protector, provider,
    forgenng how the LORD
saved them , they forget of
    their covenant with GOD
    and other an agreement
with a king just like all
    nation.
    1 SAMUEL 10:6-8
    1 SAMUEL 10:6-9
    THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD
    WILL BE UPON THEE
    6) And the Spirit of the
    LORD will come upon thee,
    and thou shalt prophesy
    with them, and shalt be
    turned into another man
7)And let it be, when these
    signs are come unto thee,
    that thou do as occasion
serve thee; for GOD is with
    thee
    8)And thou shalt go down
    before me to Gilgal; and,
    behold, I will comedown
    unto thee, to offer burnt
    offerings and sacrifice,
    sacrifice of peace offerings;
    seven days shalt thou tarry,
All I come to thee, and show
    thee what thou shalt do
9)And it was so, that when
he had turned his back to go
    from Samuel, GOD gave him
    another heart; and all those
signs came to pass that day
    10)And when they came
thither to the hill, behold, a
    company of prophets met
him; and the Spirit of GOD
    came upon Him, and he
    prophesied among them
    1 SAMUEL 10:6-9
    THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD
    WILL BE UPON THEE
The spirit of the LORD will
    come upon thee, this was
    the highest assurance of all
    there that Samuel anointed
    Saul by GOD’S authority and
    thou will prophesy, shall act
    as a prophet, with them
    shall break forth into
    praises of GOD, and ufer
    divers truths and even
    predicAon by the
    inspiraAon of the Holy Spirit,
    he would change, a
    transformed person, his
    whole being will be
    converted ; he will be
prepared for a King, to serve
    GOD’S people, Saul will be
    wonderfully transformed by
the Spirit of GOD , shalt turn
    into another man, that is,
    thou shall be suddenly
    endowed with another
    Spirit, filled with skill in
    Divine things, with courage,
    and wisdom.
And let it be, when these
    signs are come unto thee
are all fulfilled, Saul was to
carry out his duty as king to
the very best of his ability,
that GOD is with him, GOD
    would show Saul how to
lead the people and how to
    established the kingdom of
Israel, for GOD is with Him
    therefore he need not fear
    engaging in any acAvity that
might be for the glory of
    GOD, and good of the
    kingdom, Samuel then
    instructed Saul to Gilgal and
    wait seven days for his
coming, at the end of seven
    days, Samuel promised to
    come and conduct worship
    service, presenAng offering
and sacrifice to the LORD at
    that Ame, Samuel would
    give Saul further,
    instrucAon, telling him
exactly how he was to do,
    in the then present
    emergency or difficulty on
his hand; and this he said to
    encourage him under the
    weight and burden of
    government laid upon him,
    to become established as
    the King of Israel
    GOD gave him another
    heart, he immediately GOD
    also turned for him another
    hear, that is GOD turned
him round by giving him a
    changed heart, a new heart
and a new Spirit. A heart fit
    for government; filled with
    wisdom and prudence to
    rule a people

    THE REASON FOR THE
    DIVINE CALL ON DAVID
    1)And the LORD said unto
    Samuel, how long wilt thou
    mourn for Saul, seeing I
    have rejected him from
    reigning over Israel? Fill
thine horn with oil, and go, I
will send thee to Jesse the
    Beth-lehemite; for I have
    provided Me a king among
    his sons
    1 SAMUEL 16:1
    THE REASON FOR DAVID
    DIVINE CALL
    The LORD rebuke Samuel,
for he had grieved over His
    LORD rejecAon of Saul far
    too long, Samuel’s long
    mourning, but GOD warn
    Samuel not to morn any
    longer because of Saul
    disobedience , the LORD
    had rejected and his
decision is final that he had
    been rejected as King and
    the Kingdom was torn from
him,, it had been the sad
    duty of Samuel to inform
    him about Saul about the
    rejecAon of GOD,
    delivering the message of
    Saul rejecAon had been a
    difficult mission for Samuel,
    from the beginning Samuel
had great hope for Saul, for
    Saul for appeared to have
    all the tributes needed to
be a successful leader , he
    was tall, handsome, and had
    a charismaAc personality,
    moreover when he stated as
a king he was both humble,
    respecRul and bold
    courageous Spirit , so Saul
was the kind of man desired
    to be a leader, moreover,
Saul had been chosen to be
    king by the LORD Himself,
    and the LORD had
    transformed Him, giving
    him a new and changed
heart, no man had more to
    offer than Saul
But Saul had failed and been
    condemned by GOD,
    rejected as King, someday
    someAme Saul will be
    removed from the throne to
    another Dynasty and a new
    kingdom will be established,
    which was terrible tragedy
for Saul and his house hold
    Saul failure grieved the soul
    of Samuel he became
    discouraged, depressed and
    downcast
    FILL THINE HORN WITH OIL
Fill thine horn with oil; the
    Holy anoinAng oil and go,
and I will send thee to Jesse
    the Bethlehemite; the son
of Jesse, for I have provided
    me a king among his sons;
but which he says not; this
    was reserved for a later
    discovery; however GOD
had in His own mind picked
    Him, whom He would
    hereaeer made known; this
was a king for Himself raised
up to fulfill His will: Saul was
Chosen by Him but it was as
a request of the people of
Israel, and so he was their
King, but this was not at
    their desire, GOD had
chosen a new King , not
    with Samuel nor with their
    knowledge , but of GOD
    good will and pleasure, the
fulfill all my will and to serve
My glory , He should now
arise and fill his horn with
oil and to Bethlehem to the
house of Jesse, for GOD had
Chosen one of His sons to
    be new King

    CAME UPON DAVID
    Then Samuel took the horn
of oil, and anointed David in
    the midst of his brethren,
his brethren do not seem to
    have any idea of their

    true significance of the act
    appears to have been
    concealed from them, they
    may have supposed that
    Samuel had selected David
for a pupil in his propheAc
    school, even Jesse and
    David is not made clear,
    Certainly Eliab and the other
had no idea of any special
    greatness being instore for
    his brother David, He was
the youngest of the Sons of
    Jesse; David was the least
set by all the sons of Jesse,
    when David arrived, and he
    was ruddy, also of beauAful
    eyes and good looks, the
    LORD pointed him out to

depart from Saul, as a Spirit
of prophesy as at first, as a
    spirit of wisdom and
    prudence in civil
    government, and as a spirit
    of resilience and courage,
    which came upon him when
he was first made king, and
    conAnued with him All this
    Ame, but which GOD now
    took away as a punishment
of his sins depriving him of
    that prudence, courage, and
    promptness, wisdom and
    other gies wherewith he
    had qualified him for his
    public office, he seemed to
    be a demoniac possessed
    with Devil
And evil spirit of the lord,
    that is, by GOD’S Divine
    permission, who delivered
him up to be maltreated by
    Satan troubled him, sArred
up in him unruly passion, at
Ame as a mad man, such as
envy, rage, fear or despair ,
    which is why he grew
    restless, bad-tempered , and
    discontented , hateful ,
    suspicious, frequently
    trembling full of anxiety of
mind, what is the case, Saul
    had disobeyed GOD and was
    now reaping what he had
    sown, GOD’S Spirit had lee
Saul to live the sinful ,
    wicked,, and disobedient life
    he had chosen, from that
    Ame, David was the central
    figure, as David’s
    preparation to be king
    began, it provides a clear
    picture of GOD’S
    sovereignty and His
    guidance throughout David’s
    life

    1 KING 3:3-9
    THE REASON OF SPECIFIC
    TASK ON SOLOMON
    3) And Solomon loved the
    LORD walking in the statutes
    of David his father: only
    sacrificed and burnt incense
    in high places
    4)And the king went to
    Gibeon to sacrifice there;
for that was the great high
    place: a thousand burnt
    offerings did Solomon offer
    upon that altar
    5)In Gibeon the LORD
    appeared to Solomon in a
    dream by night: and GOD
said, ask what I shall give
    thee
    6)And Solomon said, thou
    hast showed unto thy
    servant David my father
    great mercy, according as he
    walked before thee in truth,
    and in righteousness, and in
    uprightness of heart with
thee; and thou hast kept for
    him this great kindness, that
thou hast given him a son to
sit on his throne, as it is this
    day
    7)And now, O LORD my
    GOD, thou hast made they
    servant king instead of
David my father; and I am
but a lifle child I know not
how to go out or come in
8)And thy servant is in the
    midst of they people which
    thou hast chosen, a great
    people, that cannot be
    numbered nor counted for
    mulAtude
    9)Give therefore they
    servant an understanding
    heart to judge thy people,
    that I may discern between
good and bad for who is
able to judge this thy so
    great a people?
    1 KING 3:3-9
    SOLOMON LOVED THE
    LORD WALKING IN THE
    STATUTE OF DAVID
    Solomon began his reign in
    worship and prayer, sensing
a deep need of wisdom to
    lead and govern the naAon,
    his heart was right with
    GOD, although he go wrong
in the mafer of high places,
    which clearly show that the
    worship of the high places,
    although condone , and
    indeed accepted but not
    strictly lawful and right due
    to the polluAon of
    Idolatrous worship ,yet in
    general, his heart was right
    with GOD, walking
    according to the statutes or
    the commandments of GOD,
    which are called the statue
    of David not only because
    there are diligently pracAce
    by David, but also because
    the observaAon of them
    was so earnestly pushed
    upon Solomon, and forAfied
    with David’s authority and
    command . And the king
    went to Gibeon the
    Tabernacle of the
    congregaAon and the brass
    alter of burnt offering to
sacrifice there , for that was
    the great high place, the
    Tabernacle made by Moses,
and the altar, so that it was
    more dignified palace and
    more scared because of
    them, a thousand burnt
    offerings were sacrificed to
    the LORD, by Solomon,
    indicaAng a huge and joyful
    occasion in celebraAng the
    crowing of Solomon as a
    king, once the worship
    service had been
    conducted, Solomon and
    the mulAtude of people
    reAred to their tents and
    house for the night, aeer
    having fallen asleep, the
    LORD appeared to Solomon
in a dream, a Divine, and
    supernatural one, a
    propheAc dream, a night
vision, such as GOD use to
    speak to His prophets, he
    was suddenly confronted by
    the LORD who appeared to
    him , being very pleased
    with the worship and
    sacrifices Solomon had
    Offered , the LORD told
Solomon to ask for or make
    any request he wanted,
    Solomon heart was
    overflowing with graAtude
    to the LORD for His
goodness to Him as a King,
    that GOD had been very
    kind and showed great
    mercy to his father David
    ,because David had been
faithful to the LORD in the
    true worship of GOD in
    belief, pracAce, and defense
of the true religion and had
    lived a righteous and upright
life, that GOD had given a
    son to conAnue David’s
    dynasty .
    Solomon knew that he was
    given the privilege of ruling
only by the grace of GOD
    and only because his father
    David had lived righteously
    Solomon knowing how
    inexperience he was in
    Government, Solomon
    referred to himself as a
lifle child to rule, he did not
know how to carry out his
    duAes and perform his task
as King, he was helpless and
    unqualified for the task, so
    Solomon made a striking
    request to GOD , he
    requested an
    understanding, discerning
    heart so that he might
    govern GOD’S people a
    peculiar people above all
people on the earth a great
    people, that cannot be
    numbered and discerning
    between good and evil, right
    and wrong, He stated that
    without wisdom he would
not be able to govern the
    great naAon Israel the
people of GOD, for who is
able to judge thy so great a
    people? Who are so very
    numerous, and have so
many cases to be heard and
    many of them very intricate
and difficult; so that no man
    is equal to such arduous
    work, unless he has more
    than an ordinary capacity
    given him
    by GOD,
    1 KING 3:10-13
    1 KING 3:10-13
    MANIFASTATION OF THE
    SPIRIT OF GOD UPON
    SOLOMON
    10)And the speech pleased
    the LORD, that Solomon had
    asked this things
    11)And GOD said unto him
    because thou hast asked
    this things and hast not
    asked for thyself long life,
    neither hast asked for riches
nor asked the life of thine
enemies ; but hast asked for
    thyself understanding to
    discern judgment
    12) Behold, I have done
according to thy words; Lo ,I
have given thee a wise and
    understanding heart; so that
    there was none like thee
    before thee, neither aeer
thee shall any arise like unto
    thee
    13)And I have also given
    thee that which thou hast
    not asked both riches, and
    honor, so that there shall
not be any among the kings
like unto thee all they days
    1 KING 3:10
    BECAUSE THOU HAST
    ASKED THIS THING
    The speech please the
    LORD that Solomon had
    requested ,Solomon’s
    striking request pleases
    GOD, and GOD confirmed
    Solomon’s request, He had
    not requested what most
    people would have: wealth
    long life, and prosperity,
    which is naturally desired by
    men and also great worldly
    blessing; and especially to
be wished for a king living in
    great pomp and splendor,
nor you ask of life of your
    enemies; victories over
them and to live in power,
    such as are ambiAous
    haughty and revengeful ,
    instead, Solomon had
    requested an
    understanding, discerning
    heart so that he might
    minister jusAce among the
    people, because of
    Solomon’s wise and humble
    request,
    Behold, I have done
    according to thy words,
    expressed in his request, He
    not only promised he would
grant him it, but he had
    already done it, GOD made
    an astounding promise to
    Solomon, he would be given
    a wise and discerning heart,
, and I have also given thee
    that which thou hast not
    asked, both riches and
    honor, so that there shall
not be any among the kings
like unto thee, he will be
    given wealth and honor
    above all his contemporary
he will be given long life, but
    the promise was
    conditional; it was based on
    obedience, Solomon will
walk in the way of GOD and
    obey LORD commandment

Hear me, O LORD, that this

Then the fire of the LORD

that even such were no to

licked up the water that was

    GOD not only accredited
    Elijah as His servant and

    Himself to be the living

    And when the people saw

    calling Him the most mighty

    the words to signify their

    TAKE THE PROPHET OF

    Elijah said, take the prophet

    while the people’s hearts

were, let not one of them

    readily obeyed Elijah’s
    command, and took them
laid hold of them, every one
    of them and brought them
down to the brook of Kishon
    and executed the sentence
    he pronounced, and Ahab
    could make no opposiAon,
    being himself also
    astonished at the at the
    stupendous miracles, that it
    was owing to the idolatry
they led the people into that
    rain had been withheld, and
    the brooks were dried up
that the land might not be
    defile with their blood, but
be carried away by the river
and conveyed it to the sea
so as not to defiled the Holy
    land, these idolatrous
    priests were under a death
    sentence passed upon such
    by the sovereign LORD of
life and death, so Elijah had
    authority to execute it,
being a prophet of and an
    extraordinary minister of
    GOD’S vengeance
At long last, the drought and
    famine were to end, for
    Elijah began to pray

    vehement desire, and
    persistence praying crying
out to the LORD to send rain
    to end the drought, arising,
    Elijah sent his servant to

    aeer seeking the LORD for
    the LORD answered his
    prayer when the servant

    Ame,
    THERE ARISE A LITTLE
    CLOUD OUT OF THE SEA
he reported that a cloud as
small as a man’s hand was
rising out of the sea, with
    this Elijah warned Ahab to
rush back to the palace , he
    was genng ready with his

    begin to appear and the
    strong rain began to blow,
    Ahab and the massive

    only true GOD, Divinely the
hand of the LORD was on
    Elijah giving him more than
    common strength of body,
as well as courage and ran
    before Ahab to the entrance
    of Jezreel recked about
    sixteen miles from Camel;
    this showed his humility,
that he not exalted with the
    wonderful things GOD had
done by him, and that he
bore no ill will to Ahab but
was ready to show him all
    honor and respect due to
him as king; but enter into
    the city to instruct the
    people, and warn them
    against her idolatries
